About Thrive Performing Arts Center

The mission of Thrive Performing Arts Center is to provide professional dance instruction and instill a love for the art of dance in a fun, high-quality studio environment.

Thrive Performing Arts Center, LLC was established in 2016 by Tatyana Peffers.  Our studio is conveniently located in the northern part of the Dallas- Fort Worth metroplex. We currently serve Denton and Collin County. With our highly trained diverse staff, we are able to provide children and adults a wide range of dance classes for all levels.

Our staff is committed to providing dance classes in a positive atmosphere where the deepest learning may take place.

Tatyana Peffers
Tatyana PeffersOwner
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Tatyana began her dance career at the age of three years old at Encore School of Dance. She studied under the director of Michelle Davis and Angela McGarity where she learned ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe, and modern dance. At the age of eleven, she was asked to become a member of their competition team. She remained a member until her senior year of high school. Tatyana was also on the dance team at her high school and she served as an officer. After graduating from high school, Tatyana chose to further her education in dance and attended Texas Woman’s University. She graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors of Art degree in Dance. She has directed competition teams over the last two years and has lead them to win various awards and her passion for choreographing is truly visible in all her works.
Dede Dixon

Diondria “Dede” Dixon, originally from Port Arthur, Texas, is a graduate from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelors of Art in Dance Education. Her background growing up was in cheer and drill team and in college has developed her skills in various areas of dance. She has taught workshop classes and community dance classes all over the DFW metroplex ranging in style from hip hop to salsa to ballet to choreographing stage dances for high school show choir. Dede has performed and taught at various grade schools across Texas traditional folkloric, Spanish, and African dances with Texas Woman’s University’s International Dance Company. She has performed with Cholorock Dance Theatre (a contemporary dance company based on traditional folkloric, hip-hop, salsa, post-modern, and contemporary dance) for the National College Dance Festival (TAPHERD) at Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Performance Center and Cholula, Puebla, Mexico at the Universidad de Las Americas, and currently in several locations around the DFW area. She has been part of major pieces of dance works with Nicole Touzien in “More than a Mouthful (The Choke)” performed in and around the Iseman Performance Center in Dallas and Wrk n’ Progress Hip Hop Dance Crew at World of Dance. She has attended workshops and danced with accredited choreographers and famous performers of all styles of dance such as Keith Green, Comfort Fedoke, and Jose Zamora, Tommy the Clown, Teresa Espinosa, Daniel de Cordoba, and Lela Jones.As a dance team director for Prosper Dance Force, she has lead her girls to win many awards at various dance competitions. She has a passion of creating the world’s future professional dancers.
Abbie Brantley
Abbie BrantleyApprentice Instructor
Abbie Brantley is a Thrive Performing Arts Center Impressions Company Dancer and competitive leader. She began dancing at the age of 4 and has studied many different styles since. Her love of children and dance combined are evident in her classes. As a freshman in college, she is currently pursuing a major in Dance Science.
Alyssa Dunlap
Alyssa Dunlap Team Director/ Instructor
Alyssa Dunlap is a recent graduate of Texas Woman’s University where she is studying Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Dance. She has been dancing for a total of eighteen years, which consists of competition team from middle school through high school, performance teams, a ballet company, conventions and currently competing with TWU. Alyssa also has experience in film, choreography, improvisation and teaching dance to autistic children. She has always had a love for teaching children which she feels she can best express through dance. She has been teaching dance to students ranging in age from six years old to eighteen for four years and hopes to continue.
